Training Session on Proposal Writing for HEC-NRPU Research Funding

Under the leadership of the Worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hassan, the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), University of Sahiwal, organized a training session for faculty members on “Proposal Writing: Strategies for Successful Research Funding to Apply for HEC-NRPU Grant.” The session was led by Dr. Nosheen Sarwat from the Institute of Management Sciences (IMS), Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, who served as the keynote speaker. She provided comprehensive guidance on the basic structure and framework of the HEC-NRPU proposal, highlighting key strategies for developing a strong and impactful research proposal. Dr. Nosheen Sarwat discussed the proposal development process from the initial stage, including selection of the project title, formulation of objectives, research methodology, identification of collaborators, expected outputs and outcomes, and broader research impact. She also highlighted important elements that can strengthen a proposal and enhance its potential for successful research funding. The session proved highly beneficial and informative for faculty members and researchers.
Dr. Muhammad Rafiq, Director ORIC, formally welcomed the keynote speaker and expressed his gratitude for sharing her expertise and valuable guidance with the University of Sahiwal faculty. The Worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hassan, also joined the training session. He thanked the keynote speaker for taking the time to visit the University of Sahiwal and provide valuable guidance to faculty members. He encouraged researchers to actively develop and submit proposals for HEC-NRPU projects and emphasized the importance of exploring international research funding opportunities as well. The Vice Chancellor’s vision and motivation encouraged faculty members to broaden their research horizons and actively pursue both national and international research projects, contributing to a stronger culture of research and innovation at the University.
At the conclusion of the session, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hassan presented a souvenir and certificate to Dr. Nosheen Sarwat as a token of appreciation and gratitude for her valuable contribution and for travelling from Multan to conduct the session specifically for the faculty members of the University of Sahiwal. The session reflects the University’s commitment to strengthening research capacity, promoting competitive research funding, and continuously improving the quality of education and research under the leadership of the Worthy Vice Chancellor.
