University of Sahiwal Hosts 3rd Natural Sciences Research Symposium

The University of Sahiwal successfully organized the 3rd Natural Sciences Research Symposium today at Academic Block–I, under the esteemed patronage of the worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Javaid Akhtar, who presided over the event. The symposium, arranged by the Faculty of Sciences, witnessed an enthusiastic participation from a large number of students, researchers, and faculty members. The event was graced by the presence of senior academic and administrative leaders, including Dr. Muhammad Amin Abid, Head, Department of Chemistry; Dr. Hafiz Tariq Masood, Head, Department of Physics; Syed Ghulam Ali Asghar, Registrar; and Dr. Muhammad Ayyoub, Director ORIC, University of Sahiwal.
A major highlight of the symposium was the participation of four distinguished keynote speakers from leading universities of Pakistan:

The keynote speakers delivered insightful talks on emerging trends and challenges in natural sciences and engaged with MPhil and PhD scholars during the evaluation of their poster presentations from the Departments of Chemistry and Physics. Their expert feedback provided valuable guidance to the young researchers and enriched the academic discourse of the symposium. Towards the conclusion, the Heads of Departments and the Director ORIC expressed their gratitude to the keynote speakers and the worthy Vice Chancellor for their time, encouragement, and continued support for research initiatives at the university. The Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts of the organizing team and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to promoting a robust research culture across all disciplines.
As a token of recognition, shields were presented to the guest speakers, while certificates of appreciation were awarded to the organizers — Dr. Muhammad Rafique and Dr. Javed Iqbal — for their dedicated efforts in making the symposium a success. The 3rd Natural Sciences Research Symposium concluded on a high note, reflecting the University of Sahiwal’s ongoing stride toward academic excellence, innovation, and impactful research.
